After having discussed the purpose and role of improvisation as a singer, the students will learn to work as a group. Developing the ability to listen will be a major part of the workshop. Using that ability, exercises will be designed to facilitate interacting with each other’s musical ideas and adding improvisations that fit the global context. Vocal range, colour and texture will also be explored during the sessions in order to enhance the group improvisation.
