Describe clearly the content of this workshop:
Carving is one of the main techniques of sculpture. It differs from modeling, because instead of adding material to build up a form, carving is a process of taking away. Removing material from a block of stone has to be carefully planned, because once a piece has been cut away, it cannot be replaced. During the workshop participants will make one or more sculptures.
We will work mostly outside, under the sun, or under a huge party tent and finish with a presentation of our work.
