Thea is an experienced performer and workshop facilitator in dance and theatre, having choreographed and directed many pieces. Thea is currently employed as a practitioner and educator at UCAN’s Freire Institute. Her research interest focuses on using creativity in research to explore the role of art and performance in humanitarian and disaster response. She also works for UK based theatre companies, Curious Cargo and Thingumajig Theatre.
When not in the UK or Europe Thea regularly spends her time working and researching in East Africa and with family in South Africa.
And, when not doing any of the above she loves to dance flamenco!
