Corentin Martinez

Corentin performed his very first official concert at the age of 4, with Jeremy Mattina (professional singer and trumpet player), in church, playing percussions altogether with his dad.

His first choice definitely goes now to drums even though he delights in playing the percussions too.

What Corentin is not always able to put into words, he puts it into manipulating his sticks. He really enjoys the freedom of expressing himself with his instrument(s). Being God's servant that way, means investing his whole strength, energy and sensitivity by serving the message altogether with band or anybody he plays along, so that people in the audience can receive it and make it alive for themselves.

At some point, attending the concert of Solideo celebrating 10 years (Gospel choir/band), he decided to step forward into working really hard : « if I want to be efficient in serving others and God, I really have to stop being satisfied with mediocrity ». From then on he's been keeping on improving those skills.

At the age of 20, this year of 2017, the list of his performances with artists and bands is quite impressive, having played in more than 50 cities around France, wether in churches or big concert halls such as in Lyon's Centre des Congrès, Zénith de Montpellier, and even Paris' Palais des Congrès... Among them are : Paul wilbur, Anne-Clemence Rouffet, Solideo, Etinc’elles, Faithful, Jérémy Mattina...

He was even asked to join the teachers' team of START (summer camp in arts education organised by DM2A – artistic Christian association) for the 2016 and 2017 sessions.

Playing the drums is obviously driving in his veins!
