Marijke Bolt

From the age of 10 she was already making her first wooden sculptures. In 1997 she moved into a professional study of sculpture and graphics. Today Marijke Bolt has her own well equipped workshop next to her home.
Besides creating her own sculptures she is teaching children and grownups in sculpting and drawing. Marijke also works with mentally disabled people and prisoners.
Regular she has expositions. And she is blessed with regular orders for special purposes, like memorial sculptures.
Her work can be described as stylish and abstract: round and expressive forms, organic forms with beautiful curves, combined with the natural nature of a rock.
She is inspired by her faith as from the harsh nature of a rock God is able to polish beautiful people.
